Oh my goodness, the month is almost over and I still haven't posted anything about October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shame on me!

My Mom (aka: little Momma) was diagnosed last August with Breast Cancer and since then had three related surgery's and radiation treatment. She is doing great (except for her little accident last month) her positive attitude, faith and of course her loving family's support! has made this whole bump in the road during the journey of life... tolerable. Sure there were a few scary moments but we always knew in our hearts she wasn't ready to go home yet.
So as most of you already know it is extremely important to give yourself a self examination and see your doctor with any question you may have or even if you suspect anything suspicious. If you have a family history of breast cancer you should request mammogram even if you are under the age of forty, early detection saves lives!
I love this little doll, of course because she's "Native American" like me! awww

Dang, Stripper_D, Reina_B and Andy keep asking me to help them check for tumors but after the third time of checking each one of them today, I began to wonder how often these "exams" need to be done? Is three times a day normal? And is Andy really at risk?

Speaking of tumors, have you gone to Andy's blog yet? http://hiltonanaheim.wordpress.com

I am glad your mom is keeping a positive attitude, I know it can be a hard thing to do sometimes. I hope everything is ok with her.
