Movie Alert!

So this weekend I was flipping through the channels and I came across this movie I Am David.

I started to watch it because I remembered that I had put it on my Netflix a while back and put it all the way down on my Queue so it would be a very long time till I actually got around to seeing it considering I have about 200+ movies in my Queue!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this movie, I'm not sure if it was because I was already feeling "blah" and this gave me a reason to really get into the story and the scenery from the movie or if it was a nice little cry and a good twist to the story...what ever it was, I loved it. You should see this movie.

Bratty Kid

So the other day I had a really chaotic mission, I had to leave work early to take my daughter Jo to a "mandatory meeting" that required her to be there before 4:30pm and it was 4:00pm when I was finally able to leave work...the problem was we had to go shopping right before (yes at the last minute) because she need a certain outfit to wear (specific belt, shoes, shirts etc. etc.)

So to make a really stressful long story short, we pull it all together and actually got her there dressed and on time with 5 minutes to spear without speeding! I know, I'm amazing right!? :)

On my way home I needed to reward myself with a little break... off to Dairy Queen I went (Pecan Cluster Blizzard)

So I'm sitting in DQ enjoying my blizzard and this family of four (Dad, Mom, Teenage Daughter and Pre-teen Daughter) comes in, kind of trashy looking, loud with oily hair... The youngest daughter (about 11 years old) comes in skating around on her Heely's, Dad's trying to place the order and the girl is just rolling around the entire place, Dad keeps telling the girl to quit skating around and the girl keeps telling him "No and shut up" AND now she's acting like she's mad at him for telling her to behave!

I'm thinking, oh hell no...this girl is too darn old to be acting this way! I would have lost my patience's with her a long time ago!

So she continues to spin around and skate through other customers. Finally her wheel gets caught in the grout between the tiles and she falls right on her butt!

So I laughed out loud staring right at her, I mean really making it a point to make fun of her and I kept laughing too! It sounded like... "Ahh ha ha ha" She turned around and looked at me and so did the Dad like, "I can't believe you're laughing?" So the Dad tells her "I told you to stop skating now go sit down!" ... I'm still giggling at this point.

The girl is now sitting far away from her family with her arms folded across her chest with a red face pissed off at her Dad (and probably me too) and I'm sitting there thinking how the hell can you let your kid act this way in public? Ugh. Oh well.

and yes I know I shouldn't have laughed at her but I wasn't laughing because someone fell, I laughed because she was being bratty and I wanted to embarrass her, not that that is any better of course! Wouldn't you have laughed?

Weekend Update

FRIDAY:
After work we (Hubby & Kids) headed out to dinner for some yummy Chinese Food, my mom and brother meet up with us at the restaurant. After dinner we ditched the kids and left them with my mom...you would think we would have taken advantage and went out for a night on the town but Noooooo we went to Home Depot. Yes, Home Depot. Apparently we needed new tools. Since we were there we also picked up a new shower head and paint samples I want to paint our bedroom something like this...

Or like this

On the way home Hubby realized he seen a carnival on his way home and wanted to make a pit stop and play some games, when we got there the parking lot was full and there wasn't any parking so we gave up and went home. When we got home we attempted to relax and watch T.V. for a few hours but we got bored, we felt like tweaker shopping so we called Himbo a.k.a "Mr. Luxurious" (he's always awake) and went to the 24 hour Walmart in Orange...the only problem with tweaker shopping is all the aisles are blocked with pallets and boxes...booooo Walmart. Anyway after working up an appetite at Walmart (belive me it doesn't take much to do that) we headed over to Denny's for some tweaker breakfast, 1:30am to be exact. I had yummy french toast.

SATURDAY:
Woke up early, took my time getting dressed, and waited for my brother in-law and his wife to come over...they just moved back to California from Utah (St. George) so we were excited to see them and hang out. We went out for brunch and then headed to the Angels vs. Dodgers game...as usual we walked through the parking lot and ran into Hubby's friends who are ALWAYS tailgating & drinking, we stopped had some beer and traded insults and jokes and continued on our merry little way.

It was a good game, Dodgers beat the Angels...I say good because Hubby loves the Dodgers, the Angels are his second favorite team where I'm opposite, Angels are my number one. Usually Angels always beat the Dodgers when we come to Anaheim and I feel bad for Hubby. So this time his team won so I was happy for him. A few of my friends were at the game on Saturday my favorite part was when "Dula Dip" found me and was so excited that she stood in front of about 200 people and did a little booty dance cause she found me! It was so funny she was sauced (as you should be during baseball games!) after the game we went back home and immediately got in the pool! My cousin Mz. Taps and her family were already there, we ended up having lot's of yummy food and swimming for the rest of the night! Himbo & Chris showed up later. Hubby was having one of his tattoo's touched up by Mr. Taps (he's a tattoo artist) so we didn't go to sleep till 7:00am.

SUNDAY:
After falling asleep at 7:00am we woke up at 10:00am to a loud crying commotion...apparently "Monster" my newest God-son was terrorizing the other kids and made Parsley (my niece her name is really Presley) cry. It's ok through because he's only "1" so it wasn't too bad. We all headed out for some brunch then went back to my house and jump right back into the pool...I swam all day, I'm really dark now... after every one left (wow. we had 8 house guest and only 1 wasn't with the Taps family! LOL Dar!) we grabbed a burger and went grocery shopping. When we got home we passed out! All in all I had a horribly hot but wonderful weekend!

Well Hello There Stranger!

Sheez, I don't know where to begin... it's feels like I haven't been here in forever!

Let's see? Well in my last post I was excited about my pool being ready for some summer fun...and IT WAS! That weekend (the last weekend in April)

Has it really been that long? wow. Anyway

Carrying on... we had a blast! I made yummy salads & sides while Mr. Hubby BBQ'ed his little heart out. The regulars were there and a few newbies, The Taps Family, Himbo, Reina Bee, Sweet Sarah (she's very sweet) "Special Chris" Lot's of kids including my daughter's friend & her mom she was very nice we'll call her Rosie Rose.

Oh and don't forget the guest of honor... Mr. Alcohol he's always fun to invite a get-together...we all enjoyed him all day as a matter of a fact we enjoyed him till 3 in the morning...then we passed out. Needless to say the next day we took it easy and lounged around all day with the Taps family watching CSI re-runs and eating bigsticks.
The last few weeks have been a blur we've been doing so many little fun things, shopping, eating out, going out, hanging out...more on those things later, but it's nice to be back.
