Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my Birthday! YAY!
I love birthday's, especially when they are mine.
Omgosh, I'm super sleepy today. After partying like the Rockstar that I am all night last night (more on that later) I was able to stumble into work possibly still a little bit effected from the numerous drinks and shots I had.
I just have to say that I really feel loved this whole week! ESPECIALLY today!
Himbo summed up our night so check it out! YAY

Well being the Rockstar that I am!... I need these baby's!

Boo!

So I've noticed that I have a very bad habbit...

I say "Boo" ALOT!

It all started when my Hubby and I would go to baseball games and if anyone would stand up in front of him or stand in the aisles he would Boo them really loud until they moved, well it just kind of stuck with me because it was funny and started saying it all the time. I even got my friend Sheila's daughter saying it and she was like 6 at the time.
I think I actually stopped booing every little thing for a while, but then I watched Mean Girls again and then we all started saying "Boo You Whore"
but I dropped that phrase and reverted back to my plain old "BOO"

I Boo when there is traffic, I boo at work (in front of my boss) I boo when someone walking down the street looks like a hot mess, I boo my friends, I boo my kids! It's gotten so bad that I booed the McDonalds drive-thru guy yesterday when he told me "they didn't do cash back"

(I embarrassed my kids)

It's probably annoying, but I just can't help it!

What's your overly used expression?

Oh my goodness, the month is almost over and I still haven't posted anything about October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shame on me!

My Mom (aka: little Momma) was diagnosed last August with Breast Cancer and since then had three related surgery's and radiation treatment. She is doing great (except for her little accident last month) her positive attitude, faith and of course her loving family's support! has made this whole bump in the road during the journey of life... tolerable. Sure there were a few scary moments but we always knew in our hearts she wasn't ready to go home yet.
So as most of you already know it is extremely important to give yourself a self examination and see your doctor with any question you may have or even if you suspect anything suspicious. If you have a family history of breast cancer you should request mammogram even if you are under the age of forty, early detection saves lives!
I love this little doll, of course because she's "Native American" like me! awww

Weekend Update

Not much really went on in the Bon Don household, I did have Mz. Tapz over with her tribe (which translates to 3/4ths of my God-Children collection) so the house was pretty busy.

I was supposed to walk in the L.A. Aids Walk with my fellow friends & co-workers (Himbo included) but with a house full of children I didn't quite make it... I know, Booooo Bon Don!

Other than that I just made a yummy dinner last night and some brownies and called it a night.

I've Been Tagged!

I have been tagged by LipSmacker at Lipstick Diaries & Mich at Who is Mich

Here are the Rules:

1.Link to the person that tagged you
2.Post the rules on your blog
3.Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself
4.Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
5.Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
6.Let your tagger know when your entry is UP.

Six random things about me... Sheez where do I start? I have way too many "Quirks" to list.

1. Every time I sit down to eat I have to prep my food, it's more like a mini inspection slash rearrangement session...don't know why I do it but I do know that it tastes better when I do!

2. Before I go to sleep at night I need to wash my feet. I just can't sleep right if I don't.

3. I have a "thing" with smells. I love the weirdest things like: my hubby's neck smell it smells like baby sweat, I love smelling Blue's paws, they smell like popcorn, I love the smell of Pine-Sol & Gas Station fumes, but the down side to having a keen sense of smell is I can smell people who haven't showered or washed their hair. Dirty skin and oily hair is so fricken gross to me.

4. I was almost kidnapped twice when I was younger, very scary.

5. I have to drive barefoot, or at least with my right shoe off, I guess I just feel like I have more control of the car. who knows?

6. When ever I drink milk I have to shake the gallon before I pour a glass, Oh and I put ice cubes in my milk too!

I Tag: Himbo LBluca77 Coconut Brady Princess of the Universe Megan

Yay I can't wait to read everyone's randomness!

Happy Birthday Sista E!

So today is my most favorite sister in the whole wide world's birthday! ...Wait does it count that she's my only sister in the whole wide world? Nevermind.

You know I had a little trouble deciding on what picture to post for her today, there were a few that caught my attention for obvious reasons like these:

What better way to say "I'm glad you were born today!" than this one, but I thought it might be a bit to graphic and in bad form, so I decided No.

Then I seen this one and thought, "perfect she's old now...I mean older now and it plays on her age" then I remembered I'm right behind her. So I decided No.

I even toyed around with this one since my Hubby teases her about her fat knees (which she doesn't have he just like to give her complexes) but it's not my joke to her, so I decided No.

But then I remembered how she loves Precious Moments and how she almost can pass for one herself! problem solved.
Happy Birthday to one of the most, beautiful (inside & outside) caring, loving, generous, thoughtful, funny, crazy, analytical, courageous, brave, risk takers in the whole. wide. world!

May ALL your birthday wishes come true today!

I love you.

So my lunch crew was talking about how everyone has been feeling a little "blah" lately...especially yesterday.

Then someone mentioned there was a full moon last night, we all came to the conclusion that it must have been one of the main reasons for making everyone feel a little "off" ...

My question is, does the lunar cycle really influence people's behavior? I know it's an old wives tale and my family has definitely been using that phrase for as long as i can remember "must be a full moon, everybody's in a bad mood,"

but really...does the moon make a difference or are we all just little bi-polar bears that use the lunar phase as an excuse to be retarded?

I vote for retarded.

I was feeling lazy yesterday and maybe a bit cranky till I finally had dinner but other than that, I was just straight out being a lazy biotch! it was so bad that my phone was buried under a few pillows and i didn't feel like digging to get it, so I just didn't answer my phone last night. I suck.

T.G.I.F!

Yay it's Friday! Finally.

Don't get me wrong I'm not excited about the weekend because I have plans to party like a Rock Star or anything, I just love being able to sleep in if I wanted to.

Just knowing that I can wake up and lay there for hours (or minutes in my case) and not have to jump out of bed and rush to leave the house makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love the feeling of having the option to just watch T.V. all day if I wanted to!

I was feeling a bit of a Grumpy McGrumperson today, mainly directed towards one person but it kind of set the tone for the afternoon. Don't you hate when the person you're annoyed with knows they are on your shit-list, then acts like a little scared doggie with their tail between their legs?
It almost make me feel bad for them. (stupid conscious)
Oh well...I'll be home soon and it will all be better.

Knock Off Zuppa Recipe

So last night I made my favorite soup, it’s a knock off from
Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana. I always get compliments on this soup and everyone who tries it wants the recipe, so I thought I should post it for everyone and maybe you’ll try it!

It’s super easy and really yummy, and now that it’s going to start getting a lot cooler it will come in handy.

I’ve taken out a few things to accommodate my family’s different tastes but feel free to make this your own and add fresh ingredients or extras to spice it up.

Side Note:
I always go to Lee’s Sandwiches and get fresh baked Baguettes to soak up the soup with, so don’t forget your bread.

You will need:
1 lb Ground Hot Italian sausage
15 Cups Water
8 Cubes of Chicken Bouillon
1 tbsp Garlic Salt
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1¼ lb Peeled & Cubed Russet Potatoes, or about 4 large Potatoes
1 Pint heavy cream
¼ of a Bunch of Kale

Prep:
*Peel & Cube your Potatoes
*Sautee Italian Sausage in pan, drain excess oil
*Wash & Chop Kale

Directions:
*Add warm Water, Chicken Bouillon, Garlic Salt and Onion Powder to your pot on high heat
*Add Potatoes and cook until soft, about half an hour.
*Add in the Sausage, Heavy Cream and Kale cook until thoroughly heated just before serving.

Delicious!

Yay Me!

Happy 100th post!
Today is officially my 100th post!
So crazy that I've hung in here this long.
Sure I have a few fillers here &
there to help me cheat along the way,
but for the most part I've attempted to
throw in a few boring life posts too!
Thanks for sharing this fun day with me!

Moving Day

So after work yesterday I went over to Himbo's to help him move.

It did kind of look a little like this picture... :-)

I think if anyone else would have been there watching us move, we probably would have drove them crazy. We really didn't have a plan, we just kind of picked up whatever we felt like walking down stairs.

Himbo is a wonderful moving partner because I can take as many breaks as I wanted and he didn't mind because he took them with me, and we would stop to think of new ways to place the furniture verses actually getting in everything all at once THEN placing furniture...
I think our way was much better!

Himbo moved into another apartment in the same building so that made everything so much easier, actually I don't even think Himbo was going to move any furniture last night but I ended up getting impatient cause I wanted to see how everything would look in his new place, so we ended up just bringing everything down last night.

His new place is super cute, when it's all put together we'll have a little house warming party... or whatever you want to call it, basically an excuse to get together and drink and Ooh & Aah about his new place.

Don't you just love those days when you can just pop a really strong pain reliever and feel so relaxed, then have your daughter play with your hair and rub out your shoulder knots while you take a nap?
...Well it's wonderful.

I've had the worst shoulder knots this past week, they're so bad it makes my head hurt. So yesterday Cindyjo hooked me up with her magic hands and took out most of my knots. It just made me in such a better mood and I felt so relaxed.

Jealous?
