Come on Join In...

OK so the blog world has been pretty fun lately with Himbo taking over the scene...

It seems we have turned our comment sections into a forum of some sorts, with Southern Belle, BCD, Mz Tapz, White Chick with Fat Knees and a few others and it's been fun.

I would like to get all of you lurkers out there involved! I know there are a few of you who stop by almost everyday but haven't yet introduced yourself. Don't be shy, really.

If you even want to leave a comment as anonymous until you get comfy, please feel free. The more the merrier. We obviously have nothing better to do besides jump on our blog and comment...all day. So shoot us some comments! I love them!

Margo's Day Out Part 2

After SJC we took a wonderful drive down the coast! Anything beach related is my most favorite thing in the universe! We drove down the coast from
Laguna Beach to Huntington State Beach.
I made Hubby pulled over a couple of times
so I can get some good water shots.
This one is my favorite. The water looked so pretty I made it my wallpaper today.

We cruised around the island and checked out the cute little houses that I would love to one day live in!

This view is co cute, I love the way Ferris Wheel looks, so carnival-ish!

This view was even better, Hubby is yummy.

After all long afternoon out & about we headed home to relax. We had such a good time, I think we'll have to do it again sometime. Thanks for coming along on our family day out!

Margo's Day Out Part 1

It all started at Himbo's when we were watching a documentary about the Mission in San Juan Capistrano and I mentioned I'd like to go on a tour and check them out since they're so close and I have never been.

I know, I know... it's like a right of passage here for every elementary school-er in Southern California... But I guess I must have ditched school the day of the field trip or something.

Hubby is very familiar with all of south county and knows all the little fun stuff out there from his Airborne Express/DHL days. So he said he would take me out and be my tour guide one day.

So finally one Saturday Hubby woke up and said ...
"Let's go, I'm taking you girls out today."

OKay!
Sounds good to me.

We ended up driving out to San Juan Capistrano, The Mission to be exactOh it was so much fun...

So much history...
So much slave labor...I mean more history.

Hubby even sang us a hymn in church...
something like "Ahaah AhhAh haalrigghtyy then"

There were statues...*This one kind of leaves it open to interpretation... a little Indian boy, kind of looking like his being forcefully held by Padre over there...humm? ...kidding guys, kidding!*

Ok back to the pictures...
My favorite part was the beautiful gardens, and all the pretty flowers

a beautiful lotus flower

Koi fish...

and a cute bird house?
After the mission we went to Old Town SJC
walked around check out the old little houses and the Tea House.

threw Jo in jail...

hung out with all these guys at the petting zoo
It was a wonderful day... however it didn't end there.

I'll post Part 2 of our "Margo Day Out" tomorrow.

Till then...Smooches!

Big Slide Adventure

A couple of weeks ago when my Uncle Doobie had his liver transplant
(by the way he's doing great...he's even trying to dance around now!)
me and my momma went to go see him at the hospital when
we drove by this family fun center and my mom said
"Oh I used to love going on those slides before!"
So I said "You wanna go on? If you're down I'm down!"
and she actually said "Heck yeah I'm down, turn around!"
So we did!
We asked the ticket girl to take these shots with my camera phone.
We went to the top and laughed the whole time,
then my mom said "I'll race you down!"
She beat me.
LOVE this lady!
(I look like I'm holding my breath or something!)

Did I Mention That I LOVE When Hubby Grills?

I Love when Hubby Barbeque's...

Ohh Man he's the best! ...Oh and he grills really good too! *wink wink*

So this weekend was awesome.

Hubby was in the mood to grill, that basically means all I have to do is prep the food and he takes care of the rest!

Himbo came over to hang out.

Himbo was in the kitchen with me while I was prepping the food,

but then he was gone...

Himbo??

Where did you go?

Oh here you are!

Apparently Himbo was tired.

After I finished up in the kitchen we went outside and found some lovely shade under our gazebo, pulled up some chairs and let the breeze cool us off. I took out some yummy watermelon And Oranges to hold us over, until the good stuff was ready!

Why did it seem like I only caught pictures of the girls inhaling the fruit you ask? Cause my girls don't mess around when there's an excuse to sprinkle Chili Power and Lemon on something! They dove right in.

Here is what was on the menu:

Yummy Garlic Butter Shrimp or (Scrimp)

Grilled Veggies
Grilled Corn on the Cob

(I even had a butter, parmesan, parsley spread)

AND check this beauty out!
Hubby Made it...
No it wasn't store bought and
Yes, it was as good as it looked!
As you can tell from the huge piece missing from it
before I even took the picture.
After we pigged out Himbo called dibs on the hammock!
I think Himbo got tired...Again.
This is my niece "Parsley"
her real name is Presley but Himbo renamed her and it's just sort of stuck with her. She was visiting us all weekend. Good thing she here because the face paint from Disneyland was "magic" and it scared away all the "skeletons" from getting our yummy food or at least that's what she said. and I totally believe her, she was very convincing.

After all that eating I felt like lounging in the pool
So here is my mad scientist Cindyjo testing the chemicals in the pool for me to make sure her Mama won't burn a layer of skin off from all the chlorine Dad just put in earlier that day...

Although that's me on my wonderful pink floaty, Yes I'm ALREADY in the pool so I guess it wouldn't have mattered either way.
Sheez I'm impatient!
The day was so relaxing, Hubby cranked up the music and when sleeping beauty Himbo graced us with his presence he joined us in the pool.
Don't you just love summer weekends!

I love the site Not Always Right, it's hilarious how people are so clueless sometimes.

I think I could have been the second customer in this conversation! *giggles*

Even Customers Have A Stupid Quota
Library Texas, USA

Customer: “What time is tax assistance here?”

Me: “They are here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12 to 2 o’clock.”

Customer: “Okay, so they’re here Tuesday through Thursday, from 12 to 2 o’clock?”

Me: “No sir, only on Tuesday and Thursday.”

Customer: “Okay, Tuesday and Thursday, all day long?”

Me: “No sir, only from noon until 2.”

Customer: “So, you’re telling me that they are here from noon to 2?”

Me: ”Yes.”

Customer: “And that’s on Mondays and Tuesdays?”

Me: “No, sir… ”
(Before I can say anything further, the person behind him explodes…)

Another customer: “It’s here on Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 2! I don’t even know what the @#$% you are asking about, but I’ve figured out what time it happens! What the @#$% is wrong with you?!”

Customer: *slinks away*

When It All Started...

Here are some photos of the 1st Water Balloon Fight,

I'll try to post a video of all the action later.

Hubby, Jo, Rina & Lijah (God-Son)
Hubby is busy prepping the playing field.

Here's some of the ammo... we had actual ice coolers filled to the top.

Mr. Taps,Lijah, Hubby & Himbo in action

After the kids whipped our booties, they decided to fill up buckets and come after us... little bastards.

Water balloon fights are awesome, yes... last weekend we had a few causalities but for the most part we leave the little ones alone and go after the teenagers! It's quickly becoming a staple in our weekend hang outs. It's so much fun. Isn't Hubby so awesome for starting these? He's totally making memories for all the little ones who come over.
