The "Other" Teenager

In case you don't know by now... I have two teenagers.

Yes "2"! Lucky me.
*insert nervous laugh here*

And we have a birthday coming up real soon for Ms. Cindyjo,
she is our youngest.

Cindyjo loves clothes, make-up (if we would let her wear it) perfumes & lotions, pretty much anything girly which means we had a easy job picking out her gifts this year.

Now let's set the record straight, we don't spoil our kids...
BUT!! I will say when they do get special gifts it's really deserved, ask anyone who knows them. Seriously.

My girls cook anything from everyday meals to major holiday dinners. They do laundry, clean the house everyday... and never sass or talk back! Well I don't blame them on that one, because Hubby & I can seem as big as linebackers too them in all there 5'0 nothing stature.

We asked Cindyjo what she wanted this year for her birthday, after telling us whatever we get her would be fine she finally broke down and said
"Ok then what I would really like is some new True Religion Jeans"

DONE!

We bought her birthday gifts and kind of got a little carried away, but the girl is working her ass off in school with advanced and extra classes because she wants to graduate high school early
... and she's getting straight A's.
We decided to torture her for a few days about what we got her. We made her guess and think it was different things, we finally told her what she got and she cried. Yes, the big sissy cried.

Today we lead her to think we would give her, her gifts early
but every time we called her to our room
she would come running down the hall and say
"yes my love's?"
then we would tell her to get us water...

we would text her that "we had something for her"
and when she would run back down the hall
then we would just tell her to take our cups to the sink.
It was fun.

We finally gave in and let her open everything,
I think she hugged us for about 10 minutes straight.

oh yeah and teared up. again.
She modeled her clothes all night...
and stared in the mirror...
she made sure everything went with her shoes...
I think she's happy.

She's GORGEOUS! Just like her mama! I think the two of you need to drop whatever you are doing right at this moment, and start writing a parenting book. I'm serious! Your girls sound too good to be true. There's no way my son would have done the fetch and carry thing. Well, he would have, but it would have been accompanied by LOTS of mumbling, complaining, whining, etc., which then would have been followed by my yelling! What's your secret?
